Coated fabrics are composed of woven base cloths with continuous coatings.
The base cloth provides strength and the coating provides resilience.
The most common coated fabrics used by Oasis to construct tension membrane structures are
- Polyester fibre woven cloths coated with PVC and PVDF coatings
- Glass fibre woven cloths coated with PTFE (teflon) coatings
Not strictly a coated fabric, ETFE films can also be used to construct tension membrane.
