Our Projects

Harbour Town is a vibrant tourism, shopping and cafe precinct located at Docklands in Melbourne. Internal streets, free of traffic, connect the retail and entertainment zones. Innovative landscape architecture has been used to create streetscapes reminiscent of Europe. It has a wonderful aura of modern and old architecture.

Fabric architecture adds to the attraction whilst also providing comfort for visitors as they browse the upper and lower levels. A matrix of cleverly placed pedestrian bridges provide linkage between shops on level 1. Cantilevered awnings provide shelter over walkways and privacy for residents that occupy the adjoining upper levels

Oasis was contracted by Hansen & Yuncken to provide PTFE fabric roof canopies over the bridges and walkways. Our designers worked closely with the builder and project engineers to meet their brief.

Tight delivery constraints were also compounded by the requirement for minimal disruption to tourism and consumer trading activities.

This demanding project was completed successfully. It displays the unique advantages of using fabric in open spaces by complimenting the various zones with natural sunlight and functionality
