Skilled Stadium
Fabricated from PTFE coated glass weave fabric, the tensioned fabric panels at Skilled Stadium, Geelong, will stand the test of time: the panels will still be around when the Cats unfurl their premiership flag in 30 years time.
The juxtaposition of translucent membrane against the opacity of the surrounding roof provides an aesthetically pleasing effect. Similar effects can be attained with combinations of translucent fabric with transparent films or glass.
The architect for this project was Populous (HOK Sport), Aurecon the designer and Watpac Construction (Vic) the builder
